Yipiokya

Really proud of this pair!
Julie's business is called Yipiokya & she has the coolest logo, it was the inspiration for this pair.

Before I started painting I did a little sketching to get some ideas together.

The quote says "She never shook the star from their appointed courses but, she loved good men and rode good  horses"

Let 'er Buck!

One of my favorite things about doing custom orders is that each customer brings their new ideas. Lacy wanted her boots to have a classy vintage western look, while incorporating her favorite colors- turquoise & pink, her husband riding & their brand.

Painted cuff Bracelets

These are hand painted Native American inspired cuff bracelets
A month or so ago I bought a big ol' leather hide -here I am cutting it into cuffs, punching holes etc...
Here they are painted  (I use the same high quality specially formulated paint I use on my boots) & sealed & waiting for snaps-
And the final results!

Best Wishes

Jayme wore these boots at her wedding reception -today!

The early stages of design
He's a farmer & she rodeos -she wanted a few things that represented the two of them

I think this pair might be my best pair yet -
Best Wishes to Jayme & Dominic!!

Tattoos on this town

This pair has a cool story-
These boots once belonged to the customers grandfather -he passed & she was given them. As sort of a tribute to him she had me paint lyrics from Jason Aldean's Tattoos On This Town on them along with her Grandpa's initials.

Here's the before-
The coolest part is that they fit her!!

Custom Painted Boots

In Summer of 2011 I was contacted by a shop in town called Dally- Up - the owner had heard that I was a painter & came up with the idea of me painting a pair of boots. After lots of research I figured how to do it & what to paint them with.
She gave me free reign on what to paint!

Here's the before pic, lots of prep & sketches to get an idea on what to paint.
